Alcoholic Anonymous (AA)

AA uses one of our parish meeting rooms on a regular basis, meeting on Sunday evenings at 7.15, on Monday evenings at 7.30, on Wednesday and Thursday evenings at 8.00, and also at Thursday lunchtime from noon and on Saturdays from 11.00 a.m. onwards. Catholic AIDS Link (CAL)

CAL is a group offering non-judgemental, spiritual, emotional, practical and financial support to those affected by HIV/AIDS. Domestic Violence

The Church rejects as an inexcusable evil, violence of any kind on women by men or vice versa. Call the Domestic Violence helpline on which is a 24 hour service. 01892 570538.

Alternatively, call the Women's Aid National Helpline on 0808 2000 247. This is a Free phone 24 hr service, National Domestic Violence Helpline run in partnership between Women's Aid & Refuge.

EnCourage

Is a spiritual support group for homosexual Catholics wishing to live according to the teaching of the Catholic Church. It meets regularly and offers confidential group and personal support. Write to P.O. Box 3745, London N2 8LW. http://www.encouragetrust.org.uk/frames.htm

Ups and Downs

Married life demands plenty of loving effort and working together to grow ever deeper in unity, to know and understand each other better, to communicate and share with each other. Married life is a pilgrimage together and sometimes rather an uphill struggle. You will need plenty of support from family and friends and from the church community. Never hesitate to contact any of the priests or deacon if you need to talk either together or alone.
